專輯介紹：

1990年代北歐研發出許多經典金屬風格，最突出的當然首推Black Metal（黑金屬）與

Melodic Death Metal（旋律死亡金屬），其次就非Viking Metal（維京金屬）莫屬，而

將Viking Metal流派推向世界頂端的樂團不可不知，即是Amon Amarth！

Amon Amarth是一支深深根植於死亡金屬並有著堅定而強烈的維京神話信仰的樂隊。樂隊

的名字取自英國文學家J.R.R Tolkien那本著名的幻想歷史小說《The Lord of the

Rings》（指環王），Amon Amarth在小說中是指一個特定的地點，即The Mountain of

Doom（厄運之山），Tiamat樂隊為他們的一首早期經典作品也取了同樣的名字。樂隊的

風格為比較兇狠的旋律黑死金屬，雙吉他，沒有鍵盤。他們的歌曲整體上感覺比較壓抑

，但又不失兇狠，有點像At the Gates與Dark Tranqullity的結合。
